Joshua Gray-Heim

Owner + Master Stylist

Joshua Gray-Heim is a seasoned entrepreneur, educator, and master stylist with more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. A proud North Carolina native, Joshua began his career as a teacher at Paul Mitchell The School, where he spent over a decade training future professionals with both technical expertise and heart.

In 2015, Joshua and his husband, Adam, founded JCo Salon & Blo’Dry Bar in Fayetteville, NC. With a clear vision from the start, Joshua set out to create more than just a salon—he built a space where artistry, community, and self-expression come together. Today, JCo Salon is recognized as one of the region’s premier destinations for luxury salon experiences, driven by a talented team and a commitment to exceptional service.

Joshua’s approach to business is deeply rooted in purpose. His personal mantra, “Make a difference before you make a dollar,” guides everything he does—from how he leads his team to how he gives back. Over the years, he has poured time, resources, and over half a million dollars into philanthropic efforts that uplift his local community and beyond.

He proudly serves as Vice President of Off-Road Outreach, a nonprofit supporting unhoused veterans, and contributes his creative talents as Wig Designer & Curator for Cape Fear Regional Theatre. Whether through beauty, service, or art, Joshua uses his gifts to build bridges and foster belonging.

Outside of work, Joshua enjoys antiquing, performing in local drag shows, restoring historic spaces, painting, and spending time with his husband, Adam, their son Caleb, and their three dogs—Laela, Stella, and Crystal.

Joshua’s story is one of authenticity, resilience, and generosity. At every stage, he’s remained true to his core: creating beauty, cultivating connection, and making life count.
